Our Story

The DFW First Responders Support Network was officially founded on November 10, 2022, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Carrie Breedlove MS, LPC, Jason Allen LPC, John Burgdorf with the DFW Scanner, and a dedicated group of clinicians and first responders.

In 2023, we welcomed Amanda Noyes LCSW-S and Tempa Sherrill LPC-S to the leadership team, followed by Les Motheral Resiliency and Wellness Coordinator, DFW Airport DPS, Ret. Police Officer, Firefighter, and Paramedic, and Casey Ellsworth Dallas Firefighter/Paramedic and Peer Support Coordinator in 2024, and Kim Ward LPC-Associate in 2026.

Why We're Here

DFW FRSN About page photo.jpg

The DFW First Responders Support Network provides support to local north Texas first responders, including law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS/paramedics, corrections, dispatch and their families through outreach and connection to mental health services.

We have a vision of a connected network of services and providers throughout the DFW area to support the mental health and wellbeing of our first responders and their families.

Built for Those Who Serve

The network meets bi-monthly across the DFW metroplex, connecting first responders and mental health clinicians to build relationships and share resources.

We  offer a private Facebook group (DFW First Responders Support Network), a member directory for meeting updates, a list of vetted providers for first responders and their families, and a learning community cohort to help clinicians build cultural competency when serving first responders and their family members.
